The Worsham Family

Worsham Brothers Inc. was formed when three brothers, decided to enter the highway construction industry in October or 1945. Prior to the commencement of Worsham Brothers the two younger brothers, Clifford and Leroy, joined the Navy and Army to fight for the country they loved. While their older brother Frank was beyond the age limit to join the efforts in the Pacific, he felt a calling to support his younger brothers while they were away. Frank made it his responsibility to ensure that his two young brothers could return home to a career. Frank wrote to his brothers in the spring of 1945 telling them that he wanted to begin a civil construction company.

While away, Clifford and Leroy spent their time as a Navy Seabee and a member of the Corp of Civil Engineers (respectfully). While neither of these men were enlisted, each volunteered because of their responsibility to their country and their common core values of competence, character and communication that were passed down from their father.

Since Frank’s commitment to his brothers almost 80 years ago, Worsham Brothers has constructed countless miles of roadway, hundreds of bridges, and over one thousand projects throughout MS, AL, AR, TN, & KY. They have been joined by members of the second, third, and fourth generations and continue the tradition of hard work, meeting commitments and professionalism that have been passed down over the years. It is this generational mix that puts Worsham Brothers in the enviable position of being able to honor and lean on past experience, while innovating and planning for the future.
